Captain Jarvis joined the Virgin Islands Police Department in 1998 where she developed a passion for the Traffic Bureau. She was assigned to the Traffic Bureau in 2003 and became a Certified Motor Carrier Inspector in the same year.

In 2007, she was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. In 2011, she was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and then to Captain, in 2017. Between 2007-2015 she held the position of Traffic Commander and she now holds the position of Motor Carrier Commander, since 2015. Captain Jarvis is also an instructor at the Police Academy in many subjects including High Liability and Firearms and continues to be of great service to the Department and the community.
